Ferrous scrap prices stable despite retreating buyers

Demand for ferrous scrap from key markets such as Turkey has “retreated” in the past two weeks, with market participants expecting mills to only re-enter the market by mid-December or early January. “The past two weeks have been very quiet and we haven’t seen any new sales. The Turkish mills are focused again on selling their products, but it is not very easy,” one Turkish trader said. “Everybody is now waiting for the next round of purchases from Turkey, which could happen in the middle of December for January...
